It has 6,500 local producers listed on its postcode-specific maps and receives around 74,000 unique visitors every month, generating in excess of 140,000 page impressions. With the increasing interest in local food, those numbers are rising all the time.
BigBarn has recently had coverage across mainstream national press (including a two week Local Food campaign in The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph), BBC TV, BBC Radio and local media. Interest has focussed on BigBarn's unique way of helping customers to find good, fresh, safe food from local sources at a time when consumers are increasingly demanding accountability and an alternative to supermarket shopping.
