Staff Profiles
Anthony Davison - Managing Director
Anthony is a 5th generation farmer from Bedfordshire. He set up BigBarn in 2000 to combat the trend towards the commoditisation of food and supermarkets disconnecting consumers from producers. Anthony is passionate about food and his views can be found in blogs on this website as well as writing a Q & A on food in BBC Countryfile magazine. You may should also watch out for him dressed as Carrot Man, a BigBarn Fine Food Crusader.
Matt MacLeod - Web Developer
Matt has been a web developer for ten years and spent five of those with BigBarn. He is a self-confessed foodie who enjoys spending time in the kitchen. A Christmas gift of a sausage-maker has led to endless servings of bangers and mash for his family. When not cooking or coding, Matt enjoys playing touch rugby, brewing beer and walking his dogs.
Matthew Dorich
Matthew is BigBarn's fungi king and chef. He has been cooking for 13 years and become increasingly interested in mushrooms. He sells them to local pubs, restaurants and when available, online in Localfoodshop. He also leads mushroom courses during the autumn in conjunction with another cookery school and also under 'Matthews kitchen'. What started as a hobby, like his cooking, is now a full time job but something he enjoys doing most with his family. Through the rest of the year he teaches cooking and cooks dinner parties. Mushroom courses can be booked all through the autumn untill the first deep frost which marks an end to most of the mushrooms.
